We’re stoked to announce a double beer release from our brand new Head Brewer, Charlotte Freeston. These two bold, expressive beers are her first creations out of the brewhouse, and they’re a clear statement of intent: flavour-forward, expertly built, and unapologetically Feral.
[REDACTED]
Oat Cream IPA
Soft. Juicy. Pillowy.
When your brewery gets sold by one of the biggest drinks brands in the world, you realise [REDACTED]—and that if you [REDACTED], you’d better have a good lawyer. Even little things like [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] get looked at and [REDACTED]. But hey, being back independent is pretty damn Feral. Who knows, after a few beers, maybe we’ll even tell you about [REDACTED].
Charlotte’s first crack is a luscious Oat Cream IPA that’s as pillowy as it is punchy. Built with a generous dose of oats and lactose, it lands with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and zero harshness. Cryo Citra and Idaho 7 bring on the tropical fruit and citrus zest, while the juicy Krush hop layers in stonefruit and berry. It’s dry-hopped during and after fermentation to unlock massive flavour without grassy bitterness—just pure, hop-saturated juice.
- ABV: 6.3%
- Hops: Idaho 7, Citra, Krush
- Adjuncts: Lactose
- Yeast: WHC Saturated NEIPA (a new arrival in Aus)
- Contains Milk
This one’s soft, smooth. It finishes low on bitterness but high on refreshment. Think tropical fruit salad with a cream finish—your tastebuds will thank you.

It Came from the Dessert
Black Cherry, Cacao & Sea Salt Imperial Pastry Stout
Thick, rich, and unapologetically indulgent.
There’s something lurking in the fridge. It’s thick. It’s dark. And it’s not here for your health.
Recommended pairing: Dim lighting. Strange synth music. Looking over your shoulder.
Charlotte’s second release: a decadent, full-bodied pastry stout laced with velvety dark chocolate, luscious black cherry (20% of the volume!), and a savoury lick of sea salt. Layers of roasted malt, cacao, and muscovado sugar create a bittersweet base, lifted by a smooth vanilla finish. It’s bold. It’s layered. It’s a beer built for sipping in the shadows.
- ABV: 8.3%
- Malts: Pale, Carafa, Brown, Chocolate, Crystal, Rolled Oats
- Adjuncts: Lactose, Black Cherry, Cacao, Sea Salt, Vanilla, Muscovado Sugar
- Yeast: US-05
- Contains Milk
It’s a ‘treat yourself’ beer, and one that proves Charlotte’s not afraid to bring the big guns early.
These two beers showcase the range, technique, and creativity Charlotte is bringing to the brewery. Expect more experimental, flavour-driven drops coming soon. But for now, this double release is a hell of a way to kick things off.
